Tutumaiao Siberian Huskies is a small kennel based in the South East Victoria, Australia.
We have been involved in the breed for many years and are active members of the Siberian Husky Club of Victoria Inc. assisting the club with rescue, promotions, advertising, sponsorship and showing. Justine is currently serving another term as Show Secretary and Sponsorship and Promotions Manager of the club.
Like most we started out with a pet. We participate in social sledding, training, endurance, however, now spend more time on the show circuit.
We researched our requirements for quite some period of time before bringing in our first show/breeding dog 'Ace', our second came a year later 'Scarlet' and 'Sassy' arrived 2 years post this to set the founding and highly important members of our family and kennel. From this base we now have our upcoming youngsters in 'Parker' and co-owned boy in QLD 'Logan' to follow in their successful parents footsteps and commence phase 2 of our long term kennel plans of which our import Tilly set to arrive in mid 2008 in whelp is sure to compliment.
It is important to us that all our dogs are pets first and foremost, when in the show ring or on the track our dogs are of the highest of quality and represent the breed proudly in terms of their structure, temperament and health. We believe in quality and NOT quantity. One doesn't need allot of dogs to be successful, you just need the right ones.
We have wonderful mentors both locally and internationally and will be building our lines with the best Australia and the world has to offer.
We have some exciting plans in the years to come and look forward to watching our current youngsters mature into what we hope will be wonderful ambassadors of the breed in Australia.
